Europ Assistance USA, offers our insured participants access to a worldwide network of over 850,000 medical and other providers. This information is housed in a proprietary interactive database supported by a worldwide network of 34 Europ Assistance (EA) Offices, over 200 Agent Offices as well as a dedicated medical team, whose function is to accredit medical facilities and doctors worldwide.
In order to obtain the most-up-to-date and most relevant medical referral information, EA USA should to be contacted directly. EA USA will not only select the most well-suited provider but will also ascertain the providers availability and schedule an appointment as requested.
Each inquiry and referral is handled individually based upon the participant’s medical condition and language requirements. Depending on the medical condition, EA USA will also follow up with the medical provider to ascertain if the participant’s needs were met and if further assistance is warranted.
Europ Assistance has a team of medical professionals who travel around the world accrediting medical providers; the list of countries constantly rotates with 60 targeted each year.
Handling over 8,000 medical transports annually – the highest number in the travel assistance industry – Europ Assistance experiences all types of medical professionals and facilities. The resulting exposure to providers’ capabilities further increases the chance that a medical referral by EA USA is based upon first hand experience.
Covering over 285 million people worldwide allows the EA Group to direct members to preferred providers, who in turn are more likely to be reliable resources.
These services are not underwritten by ACE American Insurance Company, and are provided in addition to the insurance benefits.
