1 . How do I know which insurance plan to choose?
Determine the reason for traveling and click on the appropriate choice (i.e. Business & Leisure outbound from the USA to overseas or an inbound to the USA trip, or for American students studying abroad or other specific plan listed on our home page). If you are an individual traveling, be sure you choose the link "For Individuals". Our website will give you further explanation on what is covered under each plan. 2. May I buy online or over the internet?
Yes, once you have selected the appropriate program, click on Enroll at the top of the screen and complete the form. You may pay by Visa or MasterCard, however debit cards are not accepted. Once complete, be sure to print out the documents which include an ID card. Important - Be sure not to hit the back button or your credit card may be charged more than once.
3. Do I prepay my medical expenses?
See the claim section of our site for instructions. Claims will be paid directly to medical providers if they will accept an assignment of benefits. Some providers may ask for payment "up front". Our assistance company, Worldwide Assistance Services, Inc., can help make guarantees of payments when necessary.
4. How do I find a doctor?
Look at your plan description or ID card to see if there is a Preferrred Provider Network for claims in the USA. For claims outside of the USA, contact Worldwide Assistance at 1-800-546-6349 (inside the U.S. or Canada) or call direct or collect to 202-659-7785 (from outside the U.S.) or email ops@worldwideassistance.com.
5. How do I obtain proof of purchase?
When enrolling online, you need to print out the confirmation of coverage documents which include an ID card. This will occur once you have completed the enrollment form and have sumitted the credit card information for payment. Once you have closed the display of your confirmation, you will not be able to return, however, you can email us (go to the Contact Us section on our site) for a copy to be sent to you. You will also receive an email confirmation of the transaction, provided you have supplied a correct and accurate email address on the enrollment form.

6. Can you explain pre-existing conditions and are they covered?
Medical expenses resulting from pre-existing conditions may not be eligible depending on the provisions of the plan. For a complete definition of pre-existing conditions please click on Exclusions under the program you have selected.
7. When does coverage become effective?
You may purchase coverage any day in the future up to 12 months, but the effective date will not include the day of purchase. The coverage starts at 12:01 a.m. Local Time on the effective date. There is no waiting period.
8. What are "Home Country" benefits or "Extended Benefit Options"?
Home County or Extended Benefit options are available under some, but not all, of the plans we offer and may differ by plan. Please read the benefit language of the appropriate plan for a complete description.
9. Emergency Medical Evacuation - Am I evacuated back to my home country for treatment?
“Emergency Medical Evacuation” means: 1) the covered person’s immediate transportation from the place where he or she suffers an Injury or Sickness to the nearest hospital or other medical facility where appropriate medical treatment can be obtained; or 2) the covered person’s transportation to his or her Home Country to obtain further medical treatment in a Hospital or other medical facility or to recover after suffering an Injury or Sickness.
Therefore, an Evacuation may take many forms, from a local transportation to transcontinental, depending on need and circumstances.
10. Where do I submit a claim?
Click on the Claims section of our site. Download the claim filing instructions and necessary claim form. The mailing address is included on the instructions and claim form.
11. How do I check the payment of a claim?
Click on the Claim section of our site and you will see an icon for ACI Claim Status. Click on this image and you will be taken to our claim administrator where you may log on and create a personal account to view your claim status. You should have your insurance ID card available as you will need your policy number and ID number. You may also call the claim office, Administrative Concepts, Inc. (ACI) at 1-888-293-9229 from within the US & Canada or at 610-293-9229 outside of the US & Canada.
